shawn barber at the Shooting Gallery, S.F.
Moki's opening at the new Jack Fischer Gallery
I traded Liz Maher for this piece above last time I was in S.F. She is in a group show at the Barber Lounge. Her funny, spunky whimsical works are going somewhere.

Although I am not totally clueless when it comes to the L.A. Gallery scene, I rarely hit up openings anymore. I still feel much more in touch with San Francisco's more intimate and eclectic scene. Even if the work is kinda so-so in S.F. is still feels genuine. The opposite can be said for most of the work I see here in L.A.

some of you might recognize these pieces from before. I have been working on them in my studio and am happy with some added tweeks of color and contrast. Going back into paintings can be scarry but I'm glad these worked out.
