Ah, the road. nothing like piling into a big bio-diesel truck and heading off into the great unknown. Like a Johnny Cash song, we hit the West's brightest, from Santa Cruz to Reno, Salt Lake to Cheyenne, Omaha to Iowa City and Chicago. I flew home from there, weary and bloated from too many sunflower seeds and big gulps.our starting point, Johnny's house in Santa Cruz
the truck
the PC sticker
people in Santa Cruz dress like gypsies and thieves
I was a lot smaller than most people out there
the road
Reno, like Downtown Vegas. that's what I tell people
that's $99.72
I hunted bears in Wyoming
stayed in the same motel as all these Halliburton dudes. Wanted to kick their asses but they were big and tough

this place sucked
this place ruled.
Chicago!
Millennium Park, so awesome...

chicago dog done right!
checked off of life's to do list
chicago deep dish is weird, sauce on top. still trying to digest.
hipsters in Chicago walk their bikes
and drink and smoke a lot! thanks for the great trip Johnny!

here are some shots from my show that is currently up at SGFA... the work looks nice and clean, sharp on those white walls and even better at night. if you have a chance, visit the gallery in Laguna Beach and tell 'em I sent ya! The show runs until April 30th.

American Art Collector Magazine wrote an article on my current show @ SGFA with John Brosio. I like the title, 'Disturbing the Peace'...

Kate Micucci is the most creative person I know. Her show that opened this week at the Steve Allen Theater in Hollywood is the most uniquely odd, sincere, honest and hilarious show I've ever seen. Her songs and stories speak of her innocence, and loss-of. The hour plus show travels through her creative endeavors one hilarious and heart breaking song at a time. On every note strung on her ukulele to every cord played on her upright piano, glimpses of wild imagination, honest naivete and glowing passion ring. I want my kids to grow up the way Kate sings and plays her life's stories, through sensitive eyes and humorous abandonment.
Playin with Micucci, Steve Allen Theater, 8PM, last Monday of every month till June.
